Austin – Boarding Manager
Austin was born and raised on Aquidneck Island and graduated from Middletown High School. Austin has loved animals, especially dogs, since he was a child. Family can recall Austin carrying around a dog breed encyclopedia during most of his childhood. Austin has been working with animals for almost ten years, starting out by volunteering at the local animal shelter. Austin enjoys the beach, spending time in downtown Newport, and collecting antiques. Austin resides in Tiverton with his partner and their German shepherd, as well as their two house rabbits.
Lauren
Lauren, an Aquidneck Island native, began her career at NAH in July of 2017 as a boarding assistant. Lauren truly loves working with all animals but has a special place in her heart for small dogs. Lauren hopes to one day be able to adopt senior dogs to offer them a loving home in their final years. She is currently the proud mom of a feisty Dachshund/Chihuahua named, Charlie. In her free time, Lauren enjoys traveling, exploring the outdoors and painting/drawing.
SARAH
Sarah joined our boarding facility staff in early 2024. She is currently enrolled at Johnson and Wales University as well as the Penn Foster CVT Program. She is planning a transfer from Johnson and Wales to Roger Williams University sometime in the next year. Sarah has a 7 year old Australian Shepard named Twix to greet her with love when she gets home from work. She also enjoys spending her summers researching terrestrial turtles in Massachesetts.
Maya
Maya joined our boarding facility staff in 2024. She has a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from The University of Rhode Island. During her senior year, she completed her honor’s project doing research on the lambs at Peckham Farm. When Maya isn’t working she loves to spend her time reading, crafting, traveling and playing video games. Maya has a rabbit name Munchkin to keep her company at home.
