Meet Laura
ADOPTED!!!
Laura was first brought to N.A.H by the Middletown Animal Control Officer. She had been hit by a car and suffered massive injuries to the face and head, including a broken jaw.
Once we received permission from the town, Dr. Civic surgically repaired her jaw. The town relinquished Laura to N.A.H, where staff members nursed Laura back to health. Due to the injuries Laura received from the accident, Laura has lost her vision, however she has not lost her spirit. With the love and encouragement Laura has received during her stay, Laura has adjusted to her vision loss, and has developed a sweet and loving personality.
The Newport Animal Hospital staff has begun looking for an appropriate forever home for Laura. We feel a quiet home, with Laura as an only pet, and a caretaker who is willing to understand her special needs will be the right fit for her.
Below you will find photos documenting Laura's recovery.

Week 10 (12/06/06) The following 2 photos were taken during Laura's 10th week at N.A.H. We feel that Laura is ready for her forever home. If you are interested and would like to meet this wonderful feline, please contact Melissa @ 1-401-849-3400.
Despite Laura's vision loss, she has adapted without problems, she has learned to rely on her other senses, and has learned to play and stalk several cat toys.
