Michele grew up in North Kingstown, Rhode Island. She moved to Newport about a year ago. Michele attended the University of Rhode Island and graduated in May 2007 with a BS in Wildlife and Conservation Biology. She joined the Newport Animal Hospital staff to gain knowledge of animals and veterinary science and be able to apply it to the field of wildlife biology. Michel has recently adopted a new puppy named "Carl" ! Her other pets include a golden retriever named "Sandy" and a Conure (parrot) named "Skeeter". Michele also did volunteer work at the Norman Bird Sanctuary.
Sarah

Sarah has been a member of Newport Animal Hospital since May 2008.She attended the University of Rhode Island and concentrated in pre-veterinary medicine. Sarah graduated in May 2008 with a BS in Animal Science. Her future plans are to eventually apply to veterinary school or obtain her masters degree in either animal nutrition or reproduction. Sarah’s interests in working at Newport Animal Hospital are learning about surgical procedures and radiology. Sarah currently resides in North Kingstown with her black lab “Jake”.

Dave
Dave has been a member of the Newport Animal Hospital staff since October 2008. He attended the University of Rhode Island and graduated in 2002 with degrees in biology and animal science. Dave hopes to one day pursue a career in wildlife rehabilitation. He recently relocated to Middletown, where he lives with his two cats, "Tookie" and "Matsi", and two geckos, "Corwin" and "Mitch".
Katie
Originally from Nebraska, Katie started working for the Newport Animal Hospital in April of 2009. Katie spent most of her life around farm animals. She would eventually like to work as a physical therapist for dogs and horses. Although she doesn't have any current pets here in Middletown, she has many back home. Katie's pets are: a Papillon named "Harley", "Rusty" the Pug, "Blackie" a black Labrador, "Chaz" the cat and "Lamone" the Cockatiel.

Brenden
Brenden began working for the Newport Animal Hospital in 2003. After taking a year off to try another career path, he returned in June of 2009. Originally from Providence, Brenden now lives in Tiverton with his wife Jackie. They have 3 cats "Katashtrophe", "Frankenstein" and "Goliath", "Laine" the Puggle and "Tye" a Carin Terrier mix.
Katie
Another new addition to the technician staff is Katie. Katie began working for the Newport Animal Hospital in July of 2009. She attended the Maine Maritime Academy where she graduated with a B.A. in Marine Biology. Katie then moved to Norfolk, VA where she worked at an Aquariam doing basic marine mammal care. She has always loved working with animals and would love to some day work with sharks, stingrays and sea turtles. Katie resides in Newport with her Labrador mix "Hannah" and "Ralph" the Rat.
